Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes, all of it. No adverts, no paid version and no limits. If you ever feel like helping out, there's the "Want to help?" button.

What happens to my pupils' data?

Pupils do not sign up: they enter with the class password you give them. The only things stored are what you type (the class name and each pupil's name) and what they do: their results and, on editable sheets, their own sheet as it stands. You can delete all of it whenever you want. No data is shared with anyone, but you can also use just first names or initials if you prefer.

How do pupils get in?

They do not sign up or need an account. Each class has a password: they type it in «Students: join your class» on the home page, tap their name (and, if you chose it, their picture or their word) and go straight to the task you set from the class panel: a Cards sheet or the What is it called? game. What they do is saved in My classes.

Can I use it without an account?

Yes. Without signing in you can make cards, bingo sheets and everything else, and print them. What you will not have is your material saved: it stays on this device only, and you cannot create classes or see pupils' results. The account is free (with Google) and lets you get everything back from any computer. Codes you make without an account are deleted after 3 months unused; once you sign in, they stay.

Where do the pictograms come from? Can I print them?

Most come from ARASAAC (author: Sergio Palao, owned by the Government of Aragón), under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA licence. There are also some from OpenSymbols (Noun Project, Mulberry, Twemoji). You can print everything you make and use it in class; the licence asks you to credit the author, not to make commercial use of it and to share new material under the same licence.

What languages is it in?

The app can be set to Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Arabic, Chinese and Urdu from the «Options» menu. The library topics also include Romanian and Ukrainian. The Arabic, Chinese and Urdu translations are automatic and unchecked: if you spot an odd one, write to me and I will fix it.

What is the artificial intelligence used for?

To translate words and to generate word lists when you ask for one («AI list»). Only those words are sent: your pupils' names and their results never go through the artificial intelligence.

And if something breaks?

Don't hesitate to write to me if something goes wrong, and I'll try to fix it as soon as I can. If you find a bug or would like another feature, this is the best way for me to hear about it.
