Games with pictograms to learn vocabulary, letters and memory

Free games with no sign-up, built on pictograms and words: put syllables in order, memory, listen and tap, sort, order sentences and more. Every game has levels, from the easiest to the hardest, and pupils earn stars as they go.

The Games screen with the cards for each mini-game: Com es diu?, syllables, memory, sounds, sorting, sequences, sentences, word search and colouring

Who it's for

For nursery, primary, special education and reception classes, in the classroom, at home or in a corner of the tablet. Because every word comes with its pictogram and can be listened to, pupils who cannot read yet, or who are still learning the language, can play too. There is nothing to prepare: the vocabulary topics come ready made, and you only choose the topic, the level and how many pictograms each round has.

How to use it

  1. Pick a game, a topic and a level: the first one is the easiest.
  2. The pupil plays a short round of 5, 10, 15 or 20 pictograms and can listen to each word as many times as they like.
  3. Every level passed earns stars (except Colouring, which is free play). When you are signed in, you set a game for the class and see in «Results» how each pupil got on, game by game.

Variations

  • Nine families of games: Com es diu?, syllables and letters, memory, sounds (first letter and rhymes), sorting, sequences, sentences, word search and colouring.
  • Each game has two to four levels; for a class you can leave them open, in order or random.
  • Games can be played in several languages, useful in reception classes or for learning languages.
  • The word search can be printed, and in Sequences and Sentences you can make your own cards.
